Creamy Salmon Stew

Creamy Salmon Stew

Remember what I said about ugly photos are usually the nicest foods? This is definitely one of them! I was happy eating my share of the stew and totally neglected the photo-taking, hence the stew kind of dried up while waiting for me. 🤣

This is a very versatile recipe, keep it in the freezer and you could have a pasta sauce, recreate a soup with it, make it into a dip, or use it as a base for baked rice like what I did! This recipe made the Live crowd go crazy.

Ingredients:
- Salmon (skin-off) marinated with rice wine and Kombu Powder
- 1 Potato
- 1/4 Broccoli
- 1 Carrot
- 5 White mushrooms
- 1/4 White onion
- 15g Butter
- 200ml Milk
- Black pepper
- 1.5 tbsp Flour
- 1 tbsp Dashi Powder

Method:
1. Pan fry salmon till surface is cooked and set aside
2. Heat oil and fry onions, followed by carrot and potato
3. Pour water just enough to cover ingredients
4. Add Dashi powder
5. Let it simmer till vegetables are cooked through
6. In a separate pot melt butter and add flour
7. Once it bubbles, add milk in 2 batches
8. Stir continuously till it becomes thick
9. Pour ingredients in from the other pot, as well as broccoli and salmon
10. Stir gentle and simmer till broccoli is cooked
